This Saturday, May 7th, thousands of female motorcycle riders across the world will take to the road to celebrate the 10th International Female Ride Day. IFRD is an annual global ride day held the first Saturday of May.
Started by MOTORESS magazine, the event brings together women of all cultures who share the love of piloting a motorcycle. IFRD highlights the women who ride and works to shift the preconceived perceptions of motorsports for women while also building awareness for motorcycling in general and inspiring others to take up the sport.
Participation is easy, “just ride!” Whether you participate in an organized ride through a group or you just hop on your bike and hit the road, the only thing that matters is to ride.
If you take part this Saturday, let us know about it. Share your photos and story with us on Facebook – facebook.com/ridetexas, Instagram – @ridetexas or email us publisher@ridetexas.com.
