Unless you follow Texas state politics closely you may not be aware that last session, in Senate Bill 1792, the Texas Legislature gave the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) the authority to publicly report toll violators’ names in an effort to collect an initial sum of more than $27 million in unpaid tolls.

Motorcyclists at the inaugural San Antonio Ride for Kids on Oct. 27 honored five young brain tumor survivors: Jocelyn, Tristan, Heaven, Mackenzie and Lauranda. At press time, the event had raised $23,072 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s 11th Dallas-Fort Worth Ride for Kids, held Oct. 13, raised $110,142 to help eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors.
