- One of the original RIDE TEXAS® Magazine bikes was auctioned for charity.
Tom Evans of Pittsboro, North Carolina won the bidding for a one-of-a-kind piece of Texas motorcycle memorabilia. RTM’s editor, Valerie Asensio donated the bike to the Harvest Classic Motorcycle Rally to benefit the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation. The 1997 Ducati 748 featured in issues of the original magazine, TEXMOTO as well as issues of RIDE TEXAS® was sold on eBay, on October 11th for $4501. Thank you to all the bidders who showed such great generosity for the cause.
